Egypt - discover its secrets

Tutankhamen Tomb, The Temple, The Sacred Mummification Hall, The Chariot, The Pyramids… these are only some of the treasures that will be displayed in Galeria Bałtycka From 2nd to 18th October. Galeria Bałtycka will be unveiling the empire of the most powerful Egyptian pharaohs. The visitors can expect not only visual effects but also a myriad of other attractions. Children will be able to take part in animation projects and art workshops. In some way they will travel in time and see what it was like to live in times of the great pharaohs.

Speed lovers will also find something interesting- they will be able to admire the exhibit of an Egyptian chariot. Those who appreciate the writings of Alfred Szklarski will be thrilled to get in the heart of hunting for crocodiles. The organisers did not forget about explorers or treasure seekers for whom they prepared the tomb of one of the most powerful Egyptian emperors- Tutankhamen. The original tomb is to be found in The Valley of the Kings in Egypt and is one of the most frequently visited burial sights of Egyptian pharaohs. The Egyptian government has limited the number of tomb visitors to 400 people a day and that is why it is worth seeing it in Galeria Bałtycka.

Would you like to go to Egypt but you are short of time or money?
Nothing is lost. You will soon encounter a great adventure among sarcophaguses, hieroglyphs and ancient Egyptian habits in Galeria Bałtycka. For as many as 16 october days, when the weather will no longer spoil us, Galeria Bałtycka will be heated with hot African sun. Under such sun you will see the way Egyptians used to live many centuries ago.
After historical and artistic consultations we prepared an event which is meant to show the art, life and culture of Egyptian people- says Paweł Krupski, the organiser.
The visualisation is based on topic islands which display individual subjects. It comprises elements of everyday life, death cult, the power of Emperors- Pharaohs, the skills of architects and builders. The most difficult element was of course showing the scope of the buildings and monuments. On the one hand we tried to expose the grandness of Egyptian art, and on the other we needed to adapt to exposition rules in Galeria Bałtycka.

Visitors will be able to feel the atmosphere of mummification and tombs by submerging into the depth of Tutankhamen Tomb with its treasures and golden mummy. They will also see the monuments of gods and emperors and also touch the Sphinx. Every element of exposition has historical details attached to it. There will also be one more attraction in the gallery, namely, a camel which visitors will be able to take a photo with.

There is one more thing to all these attractions - a contest in which you will be able to win a trip to Egypt. The contest is organised by TUI Travel Centre. It is going to last from 2nd to 17th October. In that time you need to fill in the coupon and put it into a special ballot box located on level -1 near Carrefour. The coupons will be available in TUI Travel Centre as well as in information desk and at a stall near Carrefour. The grand final will take place on 18th October at 16.00 on level -1.
